Join Corwin as a Professional Learning Consultant

We are currently seeking vibrant, dynamic and highly experienced educators to join us to facilitate our suite of workshops and other professional learning services.

Ideally we are seeking educators who are more flexible with their time and open to travelling.

Professional Learning Consultant Criteria

You will be able to:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills required to work with adult learners
  • Facilitate highly engaging workshops and seminars from across the Corwin Australian Professional Learning suite
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current educational research and effective learning and teaching practices
  • Undertake continuous professional learning provided by Corwin Australia
  • Contribute to and support the professional learning and development of other Corwin consultants
  • Give, receive and act on feedback
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current educational research and effective learning and teaching practices
  • Adapt to evolving technologies

Qualifications and Education

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in education and supporting adult learning
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Education

Requirements

In order to be considered for a role as an independent consultant you will need to:

  • Be available for a minimum of 6 school term days per year (inclusive of two staff professional development days that occur on the first day of either Term 1, Term 2 or Term 3 - staff professional development dates required for 2020 include: 28 January, 27 April, 20 July
  • Be available to attend face to face and virtual training to build knowledge and understanding of the full suite of offerings. Dates for training sessions will be made available at least 3 months ahead of time
  • Seek permission from your employer to be able to undertake work as an independent consultant and be available for a minimum of 6 days a year (if applicable)

General Information

  • Face to face training will occur in Melbourne. Flights, transfers and accommodation will be organised and paid by Corwin if travelling from interstate and all other associated costs will be the participant’s responsibility.
  • There is no remuneration for attending training.
  • If you are successful with the training, we will provide you with a full contract and details of guidelines and all other policies related to being an Independent Consultant with Corwin.
  • Corwin provide all material required to facilitate workshops.
  • Corwin will plan and book itineraries and pay for travel expenses when consultants facilitate workshops that require trave the day prior to the engagement.
  • Consultant remuneration fees will be discussed once an invitation to attend training is offered.
  • Consultants will be required to travel interstate at times and dates are pre organised with consultants well in advance.
