Vania Tiatto: Executive Director, Corwin Asia Pacific

Vania brings significant breadth and depth of leadership experience as a teacher, instructional coach, principal and executive to this role. During her career in education, she has demonstrated commitment and passion for partnering with educators to influence quality teaching and school/system wide leadership focused on lasting outcomes and success for all learners.

Prior to joining the Corwin team, Vania has worked in a variety of education settings across Asia Pacific leading complex, strategic work, including system wide and school improvement; teacher and leader quality and designing, implementing and evaluating hybrid models of professional learning at scale.

Vania’s greatest professional love is working with others to make a broad and significant contribution to education and to the lives of young people.


Bishri Basheer: Director, Business Development 

Bishri comes to Corwin from a background of technology and business development with 10+ years of experience in a variety of industries and regions.

However, joining Corwin in 2015 as a founding member in Australia has allowed Bishri to follow his passion for education. Bishri’s charter is to scale the impact of Corwin’s offerings across Asia-Pacific and over the past six years, he has worked with systems and schools across the region to influence quality teaching practice. He is driven by the commitment to make a real difference in the classrooms, enabling long-term positive outcomes for all learners.

Bishri holds a bachelor’s degree in computing & software engineering, a master’s degree in business administration and continues to stay committed to his own journey of learning and progress.


Lyn Coote: Director, Professional Learning 

 

Strengthening the professional knowledge and practices of educators to ensure young people thrive is at the heart of Lyn’s commitment to education.  

Lyn strives to ensure there is consistently high-quality professional learning for educators, such that it has the power to shift attitudes, behaviours, relationships and every day interactions of leaders, teachers and students . Her professional learning knowledge and skills are fueled by her experiences as a teacher, coach, school leader, system leader, curriculum developer, instructional designer, online course developer, mathematics consultant and parent.  One of her greatest strengths is translating research and theory into practical application and classroom readiness.

As a teacher and leader Lyn has experience in remote, rural, regional, urban and international schools and she brings these experiences, as well as growing up in remote South Australia, to her professional life. Lyn seeks and supports collaboration with other educators to ensure impact on all students learning.  


Teing Khor: Director, Finance 

Teing has over 15 years of finance and accounting management experience with organisations in publishing and consulting industries. He is experienced in all aspects of finance and accounting management including financial reporting, budgeting, business planning, financial modeling and analysis, process improvement and systems implementation.

Teing joined Corwin Australia in 2015, since its initial set-up in Australia, and led the creation of financial infrastructure for the business. He has overseen the integration to SAGE and Corwin systems and processes, including the use of Global Services. Teing is a CPA and received his Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Studies from The University of Melbourne and Master of Practising Accounting from Monash University. Long-life Learning has always been the force of his life and he enjoys working with others to achieve their goals in learning and making better lives for themselves.
